C&C at ISPOR in Glasgow
C&C will be at ISPOR Glasgow in just a few weeks. Will you? We’re presenting results of our recent work for Clients in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East. We put great effort into analysing new health technologies, determining their budget impact in various markets, and assessing market access opportunities. All these activities culminate in published papers, congress posters, and workshops aimed at improving access to medicines for patients. We’re excited to share our research outcomes with the ISPOR community particularly in a magnificent city like Glasgow. We look forward to meeting you there.
C&C co-authors publication on Ebola Health Economic Challenges
Our Founder and CEO, Dr. João Carapinha, co-authored a paper on the Ebola outbreak in West Africa covering the health economic challenges and presenting policy recommendations. The paper was a collaboration among members of the ISPOR Africa Network and was published in Value in Health Regional Issues (dx.doi.org/10.1016/j.vhri.2017.08.003). The Ebola virus spread across several Western Africa countries, adding a significant financial burden to their health systems and economies. The co-authors recommended that curbing the impact of future Ebola epidemics, or comparable diseases, requires increased long-term investments in health system strengthening, better collaboration between different international organizations, more funding for research and development efforts aimed at developing vaccines and treatments, and tools to detect, treat, and prevent future Ebola outbreaks.
